FLASH! Intern Film Festival a rousing success!

Kudos to the interns who braved the display of their progress this far! Thank you - Carole, Steve F., Bob, John, Heather, Dan, Steve B. & Nick (Rarrrgh!!!), Jennifer, and intern alumnus John Hatch. We hope everyone came away with a feeling of genuine support and positive spirit about their experience. Thanks to everyone who attended. We will do this again in August at the end of the next intern training session. We think it would be great to have all active interns submit a piece of their work to show along side the next group's producer training projects. Someone asked, "Is the Internship over?" No. This is just a milestone. The formal training is over, but there is work to be done on your own projects, current productions, and our on-going truckshoots and public affairs programs. Special events we are developing to entice the current group to stay connected are the Blog and the Monday Night Focus groups. (More details on this will be coming shortly.)

The Next Internship is COMING!!!!

Tell your friends. Spread the word. The only way this internship or community television can continue is if we have people to participate in it. We need you to let others know that they could be missing something invaluable that's free. (That's a tough sell.) On JUNE 8TH we will be holding the orientation for the next Internship followed by the same rigorous course schedule that you endured. We know you're tired, but it's a good kind of tired, so maybe with your last breath you can utter these words; "Get your application in nowwww."

We have a small scheduling emergency and we hope you can help. We hoped to tape the Trumbull Community Women's Spelling Bee. However, a delay in their confirmation of permission for the participating students caused us to schedule Local Edition. We have just gotten confirmation of the Spelling Bee and it is a GO! but with Local edition on the same night we have a challenge. But the challenge is not in equipment, it is having enough interns to do both shoots. This will be a first for us, but if we can pull it off we'll have covered 3 important topics in 2 locations simultaneously. Here they are:

• Trumbull 5th Grade Spelling Bee - April 21st (crew call 3:15pm at Madison Middle school, Trumbull) We need 6 interns for the crew

• Local Edition - April 21st (Crew call 6:30pm at the studio) Lyme Disease/Relay for Life. We need about 6 for this crew as well.
