Come One! Come All!!!

I want to first thank everyone who signed up for the Kent Film Festival Shoot. It was an experiment to see if we could pull off a taping of our public affairs series "Local Edition" on location. Thanks to the interns, it was a success. Look for the shows to air in April. We will be looking at other topics we can cover using this same style of production.

Please check your schedule book and make plans to come to the Intern Film Festival: The sign-up we posted looks like this:

There's no pressure. This is more of a "Hey! You made it this far!!" celebration than a true film festival. Please notice the invitation calling ALL interns, that means we intended it to be open to all interns from past sessions as well. (Laure, Rocco, Etc. - this means you!) We hope you can make it.

Here are 3 production sign-up sheets that have just been posted:

  • Carole Brown's "World News Unplugged" will be taping Wednesday 4/1 at 2:30pm (Crew call might be about 2-2:15pm)
  • Producer Jodi Gemmel from New Fairfield will be producing 2 episodes of her show "Making a Difference" on Saturday, April 4th at 10 am.

Both shows have been created by local producers who have expressed an interest in having their shows posted for interns to gain experience. We won't be calling you to work these shows, as the producers are responsible for finding their own crews. These producers have been given permission to use interns to augment an already existing crew. The sign ups are posted for you to act on your own volition.

  • There is a taping of "Connecting with T.R. Rowe" scheduled for Friday, April 10th at 10am. The host is a State Representative from Trumbull and he often has other politicians join him on the set.

"Connecting with T.R, Rowe" is different from the other two as it is a program we produce. We may call and ask you to participate, because we want to provide you with regular opportunities to practice your skills and we can't and possibly won't do the show without you.

Thanks for reading! Keep calling and checking in, here and at the office.

  1. Hey guys, I'd be happy to come out and help on Saturday 4/4 and friday 4/10. I'm pretty good with a studio camera and looking to get more experience on TD. Wherever you need the help, I'm happy to lend a hand. Bob

  2. I might be able to make it for the 4/10 shoot. I will know for sure in a few days. I probably would be best working with the audio.
