CTV21 Activities for the Week of 3/23

Producer training wrapped up last week with this blog as the result of a brainstorming session between staff and interns as to how to get and stay connected. My Space and Facebook have their benefit but we wanted to create a spam free, safe-haven for all interns to connect, in a way we could control.

Welcome again to this experiment. One challenge we are asking everyone to accept is to create a gmail account, which is easy and free, and required for you to have access to this blog (beyond 30 days). If you are unfamiliar with that process, just call the office 304-4050 and we'll talk you through it. It takes about 5 minutes. Also - When you create your gmail account consider adding a picture to your profile page so you can be recognized visually with your comment. (Thanks to Intern, Bob Feather for that great idea!)

We have crew positions open for the "White Board on Education" program Wednesday afternoon. If you would like to sign up, just leave a comment or call and we'll add you to the list. Crew call for the program is 2:30pm.

Anyone is welcome to also sign up for the "Local Edition on Location" at the Kent film festival, Friday the 27th. We plan to begin taping at 3pm, and we will be there setting up at 1pm. Anytime you can meet us there between 1-3 would be great. It is a journey up to Kent, please consider car-pooling or skipping this shoot if it is too far out of your way.

If you are considering going the "producer" route from the producer training classes, please get the Proposal Forms in to a staff member as soon as possible so that we can guide you through the process. If you are interested in helping out on someone's 3-5 minute project either reply to this post or call the office.

Remember the Intern Film Festival (and celebration) will be Wednesday April 8th, so have your projects ready.
